  • Supervision and safety – The children are allowed to experiment and explore in the safety that the adults are constantly supervising and assessing the safety and needs of the children.

  • Cleanliness and hygiene – Staff maintain the nursery cleanliness even during messy activities, which are allowed to occur and then cleaned up. They also regularly damp dust and clean toys ensuring that the risk of infection is limited.

  • Family environment – All staff partake in the care of all children but special bonds are made with key workers. This ensures that when these key people are absent the children are confident and settled with those that step in. Children also develop close relationships with other children, treating others much as siblings would, all helping the children form relationships with others and helping them with future relationship building.

  • Care home visits – We visit the local care home for activities and singing. This helps the children’s confidence and understanding the world around them.
